What's New:

From PW:

"YA author Melissa Marr has closed her first adult deal with her longtime publisher, HarperCollins. Merrilee Heifetz of Writers House brokered the deal for two books for mid-to-high six figures. Jennifer Brehl at HC took North American rights. Heifetz described the first book, Graveminder, as “Six Feet Under laced with ancient Irish evil and a dash of Faulkner”; the second book is currently untitled. Marr’s teen books Wicked Lovely and Ink Exchange, dark paranormal titles featuring fairies who coexist uneasily with the few humans who can see them, earned starred PW reviews and were Book Sense Picks."

Congratulations to Melissa! We're all very excited to see where these first adult books take us.

Melissa has posted a deleted scene from Fragile Eternity on her LiveJournal. In it, Donia and Seth talk about Seth's decisions in Fragile Eternity.

Be warned: it is spoilery!

Romantic Times has a new interview with Melissa Marr up. In it, she talks about Fragile Eternity, Sanctuary, Tour, Romantic Times, and more.

"I like my characters, I like my world, I like hanging out with them. I can say that the threads that were started in the first book will be resolved by the fifth book. So the arc that is set up by the first three books, and the next one, SKIN STARVED, and the fifth book, those work together as a unit. There are stand alones I have considered doing, and have started just for fun."

Amazon.com did an interview with Melissa Marr in honor of the release of Fragile Eternity.

"Faeries are such a wonderful amalgamation of Otherness. Within the lore, there are creatures who foretell death, who seek mortal midwives, who feed off mortals, who cook for mortals, who are animalistic, and, of course, the beautiful shining ones, the sidhe. Courts and solitaries, cruelty and beauty, nurturing and destroying–it’s hard not to find faery lore entrancing."
